Sentinels stand alongside the stone which marks the Veterans section?of the Prince George Cemetery.?

Prince George, B.C.-?? It is ?becoming a tradition in Prince George, ?a special Military Church Parade and?Veterans Memorial service takes place?in the Veterans section of the Prince George Cemetery?on the Sunday before Remembrance Day.

?It ?is a time to?honour those who served and who lost their lives,?and those who have returned? says Reverend Susan Scott,?the Padre for the Rocky Mountain Rangers and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch in Prince George.

Piper Sheldon Clare?played ?The Maple Leaf Forever? as?he lead the parade of?members?of the Legion, RCMP,?Cadets and Rocky Mountain Rangers through a?hallway of hero?flags.?Each of the 158 flags bearing ?the name of a Canadian who made the ultimate sacrifice while?serving in Afghanistan.

Through a blessing of each?group, the laying of wreaths and prayer, the service ?came to a close with members of the Cadets paying graveside respect?to the veterans who?have been laid to rest in this section of the Cemetery.
